A wide variety of sources must also be used to manage the flow of information. Finally, one must grasp an understanding of the legal/ethical issues surrounding the use of information.
To acquire media literacy, one must gain an understanding of how and why media messages are constructed. One must also realize that people may interpret messages differently and that media has the capacity to influence others' behaviors and beliefs. Like that of acquiring information literacy, we must have an understanding of the legal/ethical issues surrounding the use of media. It is also important to comprehend and use appropriate media and creation tools.
To acquire technology skills, one must utilize computers, media players, GPS, PDAs, networking tools, and social networks to integrate, manage, access, and create information to successfully function in a knowledge economy. One should also grasp an understanding of the legal/ethical issues surrounding the use of information technologies.
